1. Banana and Egg Hair Treatment
Are you looking for a little more shine in your hair? Simply mix an egg and a crushed banana. Apply it as a thick paste on your hair and let it act for 10 – 30 minutes. Wash it following our usual hair washing ritual (if you use a conditioner purchased at the store, you probably only need to condition the ends). And voila! Super simple, and all natural, tip of beauty.
2. Moisturizing Nail Treatment
Soak your nails in olive oil for five minutes. And then sit down and admire your pretty hands.
3. Simple Honey Face Mask
Raw honey is naturally antibacterial and a super quick way to get a smooth and beautiful skin. Once a week, use a tablespoon of raw honey (not the processed things that parade like honey) and heat gently by rubbing them with the tips of your fingers. Spread in your face. Leave on for 5 to 10 minutes and then use warm water to rinse gently and dry. Then enjoy the glow of your love. This raw honey is amazing, by the way.
4. Apple Cider Vinegar Clarifying Shampoo
For those who are using commercial shampoos: to help eliminate any buildup in the hair, mix ¼ cup of organic apple cider vinegar (like this) with 1 cup of water. Follow with your usual conditioner.
5. Elbow and Knee Exfoliate and Skin Brightener
Cut an orange in half and rub it on your elbows and knees. It helps to soften those rough patches. And it smells good. (Rinse the sticky mess when you’re done).
6. Gentle Body Scrub
Mix a 2 to 1 ratio of olive oil and sea salt to make a quick and effective body scrub. This helps eliminate dead skin cells creating a smoother and brighter skin. And this advice of natural beauty is much cheaper than expensive body scrubs purchased in the store.
7. Easy Deep Conditioning Hair Treatment
Do you want super soft and hydrated hair? This is one of my favorite tips of natural beauty. Use melted coconut oil as a deep conditioning treatment for the hair and scalp. Massage the coconut oil on your scalp and then pass it through your hair. Leave it on for a couple of hours and then wash it with shampoo (it is not necessary to condition it unless you have very long hair and maybe only the ends). Note: For you, no consumer should keep in mind that coconut oil will saturate your hair with incredible goodness … it can be really difficult to eliminate with just baking soda and * some * natural shampoos. You may want to try a little coconut oil in a small section of hair and see if you can get it out before doing this. Otherwise, you could have really greasy hair (but soft!) For some washes. It is NOT that I am speaking from personal experience of anything (* cough *).
8. Simple Toxic-Free Shaving Cream
Use coconut oil on your legs as a natural replacement for your shaving cream. Talk about a simple and natural beauty tip.
9. All Natural Black Head Removal
Place 4 or 5 drops of raw honey in an open lemon wedge. Then rub the lemon on your face for a minute, emphasizing the problem areas. Leave the mixture for 5 minutes and rinse with cold water. (Keep in mind that citrus fruits can make your skin photosensitive, so it’s best to do it before you go to bed instead of before you leave).
10. Dry Brushing for Better Skin
Dry brushing is a simple process of detoxification for your body. Stimulates a number of organs through a gentle massage. It also helps the lymphatic system, eliminates dead skin coatings, strengthens the immune system, can eliminate cellulite, stimulates hormones and can help tighten the skin through better circulation. Best of all, it’s cheap and easy. Learn more about dry brushing and how to do it here. Here is an excellent skin brush for you to start!
